Westville

Westville was a farming area up until the early 1920’s and the charm and natural beauty of this rural atmosphere remains to this day. In 1848 Jonas Bergtheil chartered a ship and brought out a group of German farmers and their families who settled approximately 12km inland from Durban. The area was named Westville in honour of Martin West, the first Lieutenant Governor of Natal.

The lush, leafy suburbs of modern day Westville with it’s elegant homes set in picturesque gardens, combined with an ideal climate, makes it a much sought after residential area. Its proximity to Durban and Pinetown as well as excellent schools, business and shopping complexes and sports facilities, make Westville an ideal place to live.
